Charlize is a student in the Ferkauf Adult Clinical Psychology PsyD program. She received her B.A. in psychology and English with a creative writing concentration from Binghamton University, where she assisted in cognitive neuroscience research. Prior to Ferkauf, Charlize worked in research focusing on the therapeutic alliance and therapist interpersonal skills associated with increased psychotherapy efficacy. She is interested in researching factors that strengthen and weaken the therapeutic alliance, processes of rupture and repair, and the role of identity and culture in the therapeutic relationship. In her free time, Charlize enjoys reading, writing, seeing live music, and practicing yoga.
