Bloch-Elkouby Lab for Suicide Prevention and Psychotherapy Research

Alexa is a current graduate student in the Clinical Psychology program at Teachers College, Columbia University. She received her B.A. in Broadcasting from Long Island University Post, where she developed a foundation in multimedia storytelling and directed her first documentary on suicide. Alexa is passionate about exploring the intersection of digital communication and mental health. Her research interests include suicide prevention, with a particular focus on the dangers of digital forums and online communities for suicidal individuals. She is also interested in personality disorders and how they influence clinical outcomes. Outside her academic work, Alexa enjoys journalism and is an avid golfer.
