Runqin received her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and her B.S. in Psychology & Brain Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She volunteers at Mount Sinai Behavioral Health Center, helping with various projects, such as a suicide prevention study using virtual human interaction and a suicide crisis syndrome time course study. As an international student, she deeply relates to Asian communities and is eager to learn and develop culturally-based mental health prevention and intervention skills. She plans to pursue a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and hopes to utilize her professional skills to better support Asian and Asian American populations’ mental well-being without prejudice.
